House-Cleaning Tips!

Drain Cleaner and Declogger

To unclog, pour a handful of baking soda down the drain and pour half a cup of white vinegar. Douse with hot water.

Laundry Soap Substitute

Mix equal parts of baking soda, ivory soap flakes (any other soap would do, but Ivory makes perfect!), and borax. Place in a sealed glass jar to store.

Toilet Bowl Cleaner

Mix equal parts of Baking Soda and White Vinegar in a container. This will leave your toilet bowl clean and fresh.

Furniture Polish

Mix two parts olive oil with one part lemon juice to make great furniture polish. Store in a glass jar. To use, pour a few drops in a soft cloth and rub in wooden furniture.

Refrigerator Deodorizer

Leave an open box of Baking Soda inside the refrigerator. Another great deodorizer would be cut lemons placed in a bowl and placed inside the ref.

Bathroom and Kitchen Cleaner

Mix quarter of a cup of Borax and quarter of a cup of Baking Soda. Add salt as an abrasive if needed. Use this to clean tough dirt and stains in floor tiles and walls, even the kitchen sink and counter.
